I've gone all out to overhaul my class website, as I mentioned before. It's at http://www.txclassics.org/drippinglatin.htm. I feel like it is my promotional tool--my way of reaching parents and community members as well as students, therefore it is important to go all out.
There's sooooo many things it takes to being a good teacher. You are your own company, your own CEO, your own marketing and advertising person, your own copywriter, your own curriculum and materials generator, not to mention being a teacher. You are your own administrative assistant, your own researcher, your own data collector. What is there that we don't do?
And all this while still being parents (in my case) as well as chief domestic adviser (folder of laundry, cook of dinners, etc). My biggest problem is that I find I can't shut off my brain from thinking about Latin stuff when I'm doing domestic stuff...speaking of which, the laundry is calling me back.
